How would you define humility? Why do you think humility was the path by which God revealed himself to us?

St. Paul writes that Jesus, “who, through he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men” (Philippians 2:6-7).  How would you define humility?  Why do you think humility was the path by which God revealed himself to us?
