How do near-death experiences provide evidence of the soul?

Dr. Kenneth Ring studied thirty-one blind patients who claimed that they had near-death or out of body experiences.  Eighty percent were able to see during their experiences and reported in detail what they had seen.  How would you explain their ability to see in those experiences, though they did not have the physical capability of sight?  How do near-death experiences provide evidence of the soul?
