There is an effort currently in mass media and politics to equate the Civil Rights Movement with the Gay Rights Movement. How do the gifts of the Holy Spirit help you evaluate this issue?

First to refresh our memory let us list the gifts:

Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, Fear of God.

Now looking at the issue posed in this question; gay rights and Civil Rights, I am glad the Holy Spirit's gift of knowledge helps us.  Some misinformed people in the media treat this behavior as hereditary.  That someone is born with this condition.  This prompts us to research the topic in the context of our faith.  This is ideally done with the fear of the Lord.  This also helps us, I think, not to hate the person who fell for this behavior or whatever reason that person adopted that lifestyle.
