Genesis 3:15 is called the Protoevangelium, which is Latin for “the First Gospel.” Why do you think this verse is called the First Gospel?

The verse:

I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will strike your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

The Holy Bible: New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition. (1993). (Ge 3:15). Washington, DC: National Council of Churches of Christ.

This is the good news spoken by God about our Salvation.  The spiritual warfare between Mother Mary's off spring and that of the evil one is mentioned here.  This also gives a glimpse into the end result.

Absolutely. This is the “first Good News” (Gospel) of the Savior who will redeem the many
