Genesis 3:15 is called the Protoevangelium, which is Latin for “the First Gospel.” Why do you
think this verse is called the First Gospel?

The verse:
I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will strike your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
The Holy Bible: New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition. (1993). (Ge 3:15). Washington, DC: National Council of Churches of Christ.
