What interested, Surprised or challenged you in this chapter?

What challenged me was, as a catechist, how would I tech the verse that Kelley wants us to reflect on.  Matt 6:33.  In this verse our Lord tells us to seek the Kingdom of God first and all the other things will be added unto us.  So, what could have Jesus meant by "all the other things will be added" to someone who seeks the Kingdom of God?  if someone were to follow / obey this passage has to understand "the other things" that our Lord promises correctly.  Otherwise he will end up disappointed.  In current culture, people's expectations of what is a successful life consists of owning several material things or doing certain things.  People may mistake that they will get these things if they "seek the kingdom of God".  I believe the answer is... to teach what seeking kingdom of God means.  If one understands what that means, then the expectation of unwanted material things will subside in people's minds. 

God provides.  This provision means all essentials needed to carry on human life adequately.  People have taken this teaching and twisted it for their "feel good" habits.  Many Christians have followed because it gives temporary satisfaction.  The sad news is too many have taken this path.  so as days pass by it is getting more and more difficult to approach them and try to convince them to make a u turn.   We can pray, do our best and watch.  Here now we run into another issue.  The effort it takes to "do our best" is enormous sometimes.  With a decreasing number of people in the pool, this becomes even more scarce.
