Even with the penalty paid for sin, a problem remains for humanity: the broken nature, the loss of grace and the tendency to sin (concupiscence) that all inherit from Adam. Jesus' mission was not complete without his resurrection. Read Romans 6:1-14. (Optional further reading: Catechism 1213-16 and 1227-28.)
