In Jesus' parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), the younger son sets off for a distant country and squanders his wealth. This is a picture of Israel in exile, squandering her inheritance. Reread the parable and put yourself in the position of that son. Describe the inheritance you have in Christ (things like the richness of the Eucharist, for example, or Mary as your Mother). Is there any sense in which you are squandering your inheritance?
