When is Divine Love called devotion?
Divine love is called devotion I believe once love is put into action on a serious and consistent manner. Devotion I feel is when you have a very strong and solid relationship with Jesus that you want to and actually act in a loving way in everything you do.

Divine love is called devotion when it reaches a certain level of perfection within us. Please see my mind map figure for chapter 1. Let me try to put my understanding of the essence of chapter 1 (as depicted in the mindmap figure) into words here. Divine Love is a Grace from God. This is a free gift. This is always initiated by God, but we accept and ask for more. Charity is initiated by men. Without the strength of the Grace from God, we cannot be consistent in charity. Charity is nothing but the deep desire to do good to others. Contd.......
