Today we show our “service” to God through the liturgy, which literally is “the work of the people.” We eat bread and drink wine (in reality, the body and blood of Christ) as a memorial of Christ's sacrifice, similar to the way Israel, at Passover, eats lamb as a memorial of the Passover sacrifice. Read John 1:29; Matthew 26:17, 1 Peter 1:17-19; and 1 Corinthians 5:7-8. Describe the correlation between the Passover lamb and Jesus.
