I personally am learning a lot during these sessions.  I think I am getting closer our Lord.

I think "Personal Relationship with our Lord Jesus" can be used as a lighthouse to measure the benefits of the time you are spending with this program.  Please reflect on "What comes to my mind when I think of Jesus?".  Do you feel that you have a personal relationship with Him, like you may have with a family member or a close friend?  If you feel closer and closer as time passes by and we advance from episode to episode, then you are heading the right direction.  If not or if you need any help in this area please contact one of us.

I think that for me, to grow closer, will take time, it is not something I can measure from session to session.  If you ask me this question in 6 months, hopefully, the answer is yes, I am closer, but most times changes like this is slow over time.

There are specific times, where one might have an instantaneous change of sorts, but that is usually based on a live event.

I think these sessions provide valuable fellowship time.  I told Rajan, I am hoping we can continue to meet every Saturday, pretty much forever.  We may not always watch videos, we may read from the Bible, we may have a speaker, we may have someone present an experience they had, there are many things we can do.  But being with together offers us this chance to discuss issues relating to faith.

For me I also find it difficult to measure growth. It's kind of like a child growing taller. Day to day it is not noticed, but in a couple months you begin to say, "Mom, these pants are getting way too short"! And you realize then that you have grown. Or it's like an adult growing... well, we won't get into how the pants don't fit. I should leave it at that :). we have brought this up a few times though about how others have noticed our growth over the course of a year or three, and maybe a course taken - well, a few of us anyway. This is what makes it tough, the day by day self-measurement. I do notice that because of the extra time and focus this group requires I spend more time contemplating the economy of salvation which does alter how I proceed through my day.
