In Numbers 22 Israel has amassed on the Plains of Moab, just east of the Jordan River across from Jericho. God has led them in a number of military victories. The local kings are nervous and hire the powerful prophet Balaam to curse Israel. Able to say nothing other than the words God puts in his mouth, Balaam ends up blessing them instead. Review the things Balaam says about Israel in Numbers 22-24. How do you explain the magnitude of God’s blessing following on their continual grumbling and lack of faith?
